Mpls. settles police brutality case involving car break-ins suspect:
The city of Minneapolis will pay $125,000 to settle a police brutality case involving a man arrested for breaking into cars at a downtown parking ramp. Nicholas Kastner of Roseville will get $75,000. The rest of the money will go towars attorney's fees... Kastner's attorney said in ramp surveillance video, his client could be seen getting out of the passenger side door without any resistance. The video shows Officer Sherry Appledorn repeatedly striking Kastner. His lawyer also says Appledorn shocked Kastner twice with her Taser. The Minneapolis city council unanimously approved the settlement Friday afternoon in a closed session...
