The Minneapolis police officer accused of robbing an Apple Valley bank and linked to as many as a dozen other armed robberies was described by colleagues Friday as a quiet, good cop, and he received multiple awards for his service with the U.S. Marines Corps Reserves, which included a yearlong deployment to Iraq.
